The Minnesota Vikings are hiring former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores to serve as the team’s next defensive coordinator, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, with the Vikings confirming the move in an official announcement.
Flores, 41, had been considered for a number of openings this offseason, and the Vikings pursued Flores following news that the Carolina Panthers officially hired former Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero soon after his departure.
Flores spent 2022 as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebackers coach.
