The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut defensive end Darryl Tapp, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.

With a roster spot opened up with Tapp’s release, the Bucs have promoted rookie defensive end Pat O’Connor from the practice squad.

Tapp, 33, who was signed in late October, posted two tackles in four games for Tampa Bay and his play was underwhelming.
