Giants Shopping Ereck Flowers

The New York Giants are working the phones ahead of the NFL Draft, but not to shop their #2 overall pick, instead trying to ship out offensive tackle Ereck Flowers.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Giants are shopping Flowers in hopes to get draft pick compensation and noted that it is more than likely that Flowers is dealt during the draft weekend.

With the recent signing of Nate Solder and the constant struggles of Flowers during his entire career with the Giants, it’s no surprise that the team wants to go in a different direction, realizing that the 2015 Top 10 draft pick may be a bust.

Giants Waive Ereck Flowers

The New York Giants have officially parted ways with tackle Ereck Flowers, a former 1st round pick, as they have announced that they have waived the veteran offensive tackle after failing to find a suitable trade.

Flowers, selected with the 9th overall pick in the 2015 draft, was a complete bust during his time with the Giants, and due to being a vested veteran, he will hit the waiver wire which will allow 31 other teams to put a claim in on him if they choose to do so.

Due to his salary, it may not be viable for a team to claim him on the waiver wire, at which point Flowers will hit the free agent market.
