Today will determine a lot for Cincinnati Bengals backup quarterback Aj McCarron who will find out if he will be a restricted or an unrestricted free agent come March.

According to Altitude Sports’ Vic Lombardi, should McCarron find his way to the open market as an unrestricted free agent the Denver Broncos would be a suitor.

It will be interesting to see how things play out as the NFL contends that McCarron’s rookie season on the non-football injury list prevents him from becoming an unrestricted free agent.

McCarron impressed while subbing in for Andy Dalton in 2015 highlighted by his Wild Card game performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
