The Houston Texans have hired Brian Gaine as their new general manager, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Additionally, the Texans extended the contract of head coach Bill O’Brien. With the new deals, both O’Brien and Gaine will both be on five-year contracts.

O’Brien had one year remaining on his contract. The head coach has gone 31-33 in four seasons with the Texans.

Gaine comes over to Houston from the Buffalo Bills, where he served as Bills’ vice president of player personnel. Gaine served as Houston’s player personnel director in 2015 and 2016.
