The Carolina Panthers will keep head coach Ron Rivera at the helm for a few more years.

According to Tiffany Blackmon of NFL Network, the Panthers have inked Rivera to a 2-year contract extension that, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, is worth  $15.5 million.

Rivera’s extension is the first big move made by new chief operating officer Tina Becker, who was promoted to Panthers’ COO after owner Jerry Richardson said he would sell the team amid allegations of workplace misconduct.

Rivera is 64-47-1 in seven seasons as Panthers head coach.
