Jets’ Mike Maccagnan Says Team Open To Trading Up To Land Quarterback In Draft
The New York Jets are looking to land a quarterback in 2018, be it in the NFL draft or in free agency, but if they target the draft, the team is open to moving up to make the pick for a signal caller.
According to Jets’ general manager Mike Maccagnan is willing to make the move in order to land a potential franchise quarterback.
“The simple answer to that question is yes,” Maccagnan said ESPN New York 98.7 on Wednesday, via ESPN’s Rich Cimini. “If that was a player we felt strong about, we would have no qualms of potentially trying to go up and get him.”
The Jets may need to with a lot of mock drafts already projecting that 4 quarterbacks may be off the board by the time the Jets are on the clock with the 6th pick.
However, should the Jets want to move up, they have ammunition to do so, highlighted by two 2nd round picks.
