It’s been an interesting head coaching search for the Arizona Cardinals but one that may be coming to a close very soon.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals are on the verge of naming their head coach and Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks is the “clear favorite” for the job with no other second interviews currently scheduled.

Wilks had been under consideration for the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans head coaching gigs, but Arizona seems like the destination.

New England Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores, Atlanta Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong, and Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks John DeFilippo are all names that were under consideration for the Cardinals head coaching post.
