Well, it’s a bit surprising considering all the scuttlebutt in recent weeks, but the Denver Broncos will retain head coach Vance Joseph, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.

This news completely kills my prediction that Denver might be a landing place for Minnesota Vikings head coach George Edwards.

Broncos general manager John Elways tweeted the following about the news.

“Vance and I had a great talk this morning about our plan to attack this offseason and get better as a team. We believe in Vance as our head coach. Together, we’ll put in the work to improve in all areas and win in 2018.”

Joseph led the Broncos to a 5-11 record in his first season as head coach.
