San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested in Alabama on Friday for possession of marijuana, according to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office database.

Foster was released later Friday night on $2,500 bond.

A second-degree marijuana possession charge is considered a Class A misdemeanor in Alabama, and there Foster could face further discipline from the league.

San Francisco traded back into the 1st round to draft Foster in the 2017 NFL Draft after he fell due to some red flags at the NFL’s annual scouting combine. Foster was sent home early after he got into an argument with a hospital worker and had a urine sample show up as diluted.

Foster entered the league in the substance-abuse program.
