Former New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings announced his retirement on Friday on Twitter.

If good things don’t come to an end, then how can better things begin? I’m truly humbled. I’m truly excited.. More to come on this. But for now, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone!,”

A move to broadcasting seems like the natural next step for Jennings. Jennings participated in “Dancing With The Stars”, winning the competition.

Jennings, 32, didn’t draw interest on the free agent market after successful stints with the Giants, Oakland Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars, who drafted Jennings with a 7th-round pick.

Jennings rushed for 3,772 yards on 930 carries (4.1 YPC) to go along with 191 receptions for 1,469 yards receiving and 25 total touchdowns over the duration of his career.
