The New England Patriots are adding linebacker James Harrison just days after his release from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

New England signed Harrison to a one-year deal Tuesday after the 39-year old visited the team after clearing waivers.

Harrison’s agent, Bill Parise, told ESPN’s Josina Anderson that Patriots’ head coach Bill Belichick’s reputation among players and the organization’s winning tradition factored into Harrison’s signing with the team.

The Pats and Steelers, who are the AFC’s top 2 teams could end up meeting down the road in the playoffs which could make this storyline that much more interesting for the media.
