The New York Giants did what everyone was expecting them to do, by firing head coach Ben McAdoo.

The Giants also fired general manager Jerry Reese, according to NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala.

McAdoo took over for Tom Coughlin after the 2015 season and posted an impressive 11-5 record in his first season at the helm of the Giants, ending a five-year playoff drought.

2017 was a far different season that saw McAdoo create rifts with players, suspending the likes of veteran cornerbacks Janoris Jenkins and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for violating team rules and, most recently, the controversial benching of quarterback Eli Manning.
