The Cincinnati Bengals have placed veteran linebacker Kevin Minter on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

In a corresponding move, the Bengals promoted linebacker Brandon Bell from the practice squad.

Minter signed a one-year, $4M deal with the Bengals in free agency this year and while the team wanted to sign Minter to a longer deal, Minter wants to test free agency in 2018.

Injuries have limited Minter to nine games and 32 tackles, a career low as a regular player, this season.
