The Cincinnati Bengals are shutting down offensive lineman Andre Smith, placing the veteran on injured reserve.

The Bengals made a flurry of signings, signing tackle Justin Murray off the New Orleans Saints practice squad and Connor Harris to the taxi squad.

Smith may be on his way out in Cincinnati after a down year that saw him lose the starting left tackle gig to Trey Hopkins.

Smith moved over to right tackle when Jake Fisher was lost due to a heart condition, but has failed to deliver at that spot as well.

Given his age (31), and the fact that he will be eligible for unrestricted free agency in 2018, Smith may have played his final snap with the Bengals.
