The Miami Dolphins will be without run-stuffing defensive end William Hayes for the remainder of the season, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Hayes, 32, suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots and will likely undergo surgery.

Hayes was acquired via trade with the Los Angeles Rams during the offseason and will hit the free agent market entering age 33 and coming off a major injury.

Miami, on the other hand, will turn to 1st round draft pick Charles Harris to fill the void left by Hayes.

Harris has been a situational pass rusher who has struggled against the run but will be having a lot more work placed on his shoulders as the season winds down.
