Chiefs’ Travis Kelce Suffers Concussion, Chris Conley Ruptures Achilles
Although the Kansas City Chiefs are rolling through the first part of the regular season, they suffered a few losses on Sunday.
The Chiefs beat the Houston Texans on Sunday Night 42-34 but had to finish the game without tight end Travis Kelce or linebacker Justin Houston or starting wide receiver Chris Conley.
Kelce suffered a concussion, while Houston was dealing with calf spasms. Unfortunately, Conley ruptured his Achilles tendon.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he cleared the test that was administered to Kelce on the sideline.
“He came in at halftime, and he couldn’t quite remember [anything],” Reid said (h/t ESPN). “He was remembering on the field, but he couldn’t quite remember things, and so we just held him out from there.”
The Chiefs also lost Albert Wilson due to leg spasms and Steven Terrell due to a concussion.
