Cardinals GM Steve Keim Says Josh Rosen to Play When Time is Right
The Arizona Cardinals are continuing to be patient in regards to the readiness of rookie signal caller Josh Rosen, and despite starting the season 0-2, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim says that the team will stay the course.
“Some guys have played too early and it has crippled their career,” Keim said, during an appearance on Arizona Sports 98.7 (h/t Darren Urban of Cardinals.com). “I’m not going to name names, but I think a lot of us can think of certain players. Then there are guys who have come in and had success right away. But usually it’s a rocky road.”
Arizona’s offense has sputtered, ranking last in yards per game, passing yards per game, and yards per attempt, prompting many fans to call for Rosen to replace Sam Bradford as the team’s starting quarterback.
With Bradford manning the offense, the Cardinals have scored 6 points.
Cowboys’ Terrance Williams Facing Suspension
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams is expected to be suspended for two-games for his arrest back in May, and the team is bracing for eventual disciplinary action from the league, according to Dallas Morning News’ David Moore.
Williams was arrested in May after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a light pole, and he is expected to be available for Dallas’ game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
Williams faced a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication which was eventually dismissed after Williams completed an alcohol awareness course and paid for any incurred damages from the incident.
