The Tom Savage Era in Houston may be over before it really got going.
After an abysmal defeat on Sunday to the Jacksonville Jaguars, one that saw Savage last only 2 quarters before being benched in favor of Deshaun Watson, the Texans may be ready to make a more permanent change at quarterback.
That change is officially making Watson the starting quarterback right now.
1st round pick Deshaun Watson has impressed the #Texans at every checkpoint. They think he’s a future star. The future may be right now.

The only delay that could be experienced is that Watson was spotted limping Sunday night with an ankle injury and with a short week the Texans may want to postpone Watson’s debut until Week 3.
Regardless, it seems that Savage is relegated to backup and the Deshaun Watson era in Houston is about to be underway.
