Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is squashing any doubts about his playing status for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Hopkins is saying that he is  “1,000 percent” ready to suit up for the regular season opener on Sunday.

“I catch on my thumb every day, so no need for me to go out there and keep going to the nagging injury,” Hopkins said (h/t ESPN).

“Just let it heal. And that’s what they did.”

Hopkins has to be pretty pumped up to play especially since he signed a five-year, $81 million contract extension last week to remain with the Texans.

According to Hopkins, he’ll be ready to play on Sunday.
