Giants Ben McAdoo Rips Quarterback Eli Manning For Delay-of-Game Penalty
New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is not mincing words when sharing his thoughts about a crucial penalty and poor play that contributed to the Giants’ loss on Monday Night Football to the Detroit Lions.
McAdoo took aim at Manning and center Weston Richburg for failing to get the snap off, drawing a penalty, on a 4th-and-goal at Detroit’s 2-yard line as New York trailed the Lions 17-7 in the third quarter.
In a post-game presser that you can below, McAdoo said the following, and then some.
“Sloppy quarterback play” McAdoo said. “Quarterback and the center need to be on the same page, we gotta get the ball snapped. Cause we have a veteran quarterback that’s played a lot of football and I expect us to get the ball snapped.”
