After the beatdown that the Miami Dolphins endured at the hands of the New York Jets, Miami could use all the help it can get.

The Dolphins’ embarrassing loss undoubtedly had a lot to do with the team’s decision to lift the suspension of linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who will be available to play on Sunday.

Timmons went AWOL the Saturday before Miami’s season-opening win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The team suspended Timmons indefinitely shortly thereafter, forcing him to miss the Dolphins game against the New York Jets.

Now, with the team’s defense looking abysmal, Miami is hoping the 11-year veteran, who signed a two-year, $12 million deal with the Dolphins this offseason, can help bring productivity to a linebacking unit that has been hit hard by injury and suspension (Timmons).
