The Cincinnati Bengals will have rookie receiver John Ross on the field during Thursday Night’s tilt with the Houston Texans, according to  NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The Bengals drafted Ross with the vision of having him serve as a deep threat compliment to All-Pro wideout Aj Green and as a weapon to help stretch the field for Cincinnati’s aerial attack.

Ross missed Week 1 after suffering a knee sprain during the preseason.

The Bengals could use all the help they can get after a horrid start to the season against the Baltimore Ravens, who shut out Cincinnati 20-0.
