Saints Shopping Kenny Vaccaro

The New Orleans Saints are looking to deal safety Kenny Vaccaro and are reportedly actively shopping him on the market.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Saints spent the early portion of this week calling other NFL teams and shopping the former first-round safety.

Vaccaro is playing this season under his fifth-year option which is a one-year guaranteed contract worth $5.7 million.

Saints Sign Josh Robinson

The New Orleans Saints have signed veteran cornerback Josh Robinson, according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

Robinson, along with a handful of other veteran defensive backs, worked out for the Saints last month, and will help the team’s depth in the defensive backfield after they placed Patrick Robinson on injured reserve.

Robinson spent the past two seasons playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was unable to make the team during final roster cuts.

Saints Release Brandon Tate

The New Orleans Saints have released veteran wide receiver Brandon Tate, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

Tate, who failed to make the Saints final roster at the conclusion of preseason and was recently re-signed to fill in for the injured TommyLee Lewis, will hit the free agent market once the transaction is official due to his status as a vested veteran.

Tate also returned punts for the Saints.

Saints Placing Patrick Robinson On Injured Reserve

The New Orleans Saints are placing veteran cornerback Patrick Robinson on injured reserve with a broken ankle, according to NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

The Saints were hoping that Robinson’s injury was only a strain, but further tests indicated a much more sever injury, and while it is not clear how long the injury could keep Robinson out of action there is a possibility he could miss the entire season.
