Los Angeles Chargers second-round draft pcik, offensive guard Forrest Lamp, had to be carted off the field after suffering a right knee injury during practice on Wednesday.

Lamp was pulling on a running play when he injured the knee. He was attended to by trainers and although he was carted off the field Lamp was seen limping without help to the team training facility at Jack Hammett Sports Complex, putting some pressure on his injured right leg.

Chargers’ head coach Anthony Lynn said that Lamp was being evaluated by doctors and information wasn’t available when he was questioned after practice.

“He was playing so well,” Lynn said (h/t ESPN). “He was really coming along at that right guard position. He was playing really well, so it will definitely hurt this team.”

The Chargers have already lost rookie wide receiver Mike Williams who has been shut down due to a lower back disc herniation.

Lamp was working with the starting team offensive line at right guard.
